Gantry Cranes

A gantry crane is much like a bridge crane except that the runway traverse is on the ground floor. Gantries can run on rails on the ground or on polyurethane wheels, the choice is usually made depending on the application and the design of the plant which it is going into. Proserv is a dealer of gantry cranes for such companies as gorbel and spanco which both are great solutions for 1-5 tons capacities offering both fixed and adjustable heights. We also have the capability of building semi and full gantries in house using the same process we use to build our other world class products. We have built gantries up to 250 tons with many different configurations. The design of a gantry crane is a complex task because it’s like designing a runway and a bridge crane to move as one and often at speeds well over 100 feet per minute.
